Mandrels With Tang – Round Stepped from Durston Tools. Durston Tools’ Stepped Mandrels with a tang. Designed and manufactured from tool grade steel which is then hardened to 64 RC, ground and polished to perfect finish. The tang enables you to secure the mandrel in a vice clamped to your workbench to provide extra grip and stability when working. This is a round, stepped mandrel measuring 210mm to the start of the tang, and the tang adds an additional 60mm to the length.
